The difference between quartz and mica

Mica and quartz are common minerals that play an important role in mineralogy. Although they are both silicate minerals, there are clear differences between them.

First, mica and quartz are very different in appearance. One of its distinguishing features is that mica exhibits a layered structure that can be easily peeled off into thin flakes. Quartz, on the other hand, is a uniform crystal with no layered structure. Additionally, mica is usually dark in color, such as black, brown, or green, while quartz is usually clear or white.

Secondly, mica and quartz also differ in their physical and chemical properties. The hardness of mica is usually between 2.5 and 4, which is relatively easy to be scratched; while the hardness of quartz is very high, 7, which is a very hard mineral. In addition, mica has good refractive properties and electrical properties, while quartz is an excellent piezoelectric material.

The characters of Dense Medium Cyclone

Features Of DMC 1. The separation efficiency of the heavy medium cyclone is relatively higher than that of the ordinary hydrocyclone, which is also one of the important factors that people like to use it. 2. The adjustment range of the separation density of the heavy medium cyclone is relatively wide: the separation density of the heavy medium coal separation is generally 1300 kg/m3 ~ 2200 kg/m3 and it is also convenient to adjust this is its advantage. 3. The heavy-medium cyclone has a relatively strong use capacity and not only has a wide range of sorting strength, but also has a good effect on the quantity and quality of coal preparation. 4. The sorting particle size range is wide. The size limit of the lump coal separator is generally 100-6mm, and the particle size limit of the fine coal heavy medium cyclone is 50-0mm (the sorting depth can reach 0.15mm). 5. The heavy medium cyclone has large processing capacity, the current maximum processing capacity of the heavy medium separat

Compost trommel screen manufacturer in China

Composting trommel screen is a kind of sorting equipment widely used in pre-sorting and composting of urban mineralized waste. The screen cylinder of the traditional drum screen is supported by a roller. During operation, the two active rollers on the side of the cylinder are rotated by a motor, a reducer, etc., and the active roller drives the cylinder to rotate by the frictional force, while the other side The two roller wheels act as slaves. This trommel screen has low energy consumption. How does the compost trommel work? The screen surface is the working part of the screening machine and needs to be mounted on the frame and fixed by bolts and pressure plates. The screen body supports a left-right symmetric arrangement, a friction transmission, and a bilateral drive. The screen cylinder is supported on the driving wheel, and the motor rotates through the speed reducer to drive the screen cylinder. The transmission form of the trommel screen is divided into gear transmission

300t per hr chalcopyrite washing equipment

Chalcopyrite is a copper-iron sulfide mineral. It often contains trace amounts of gold and silver. Crystals are relatively rare and are tetrahedral-shaped, mostly irregular granular and dense massive aggregates, as well as kidney-shaped and grape-shaped aggregates. Copper yellow, often dark yellow or mottled. The streaks are black with a greenish tint. Chalcopyrite is a relatively common copper mineral, which can be formed in different environments, but it is mainly the product of hydrothermal action and contact metasomatism, and it can often form deposits of a certain scale. The origin is all over the world. In industry, it is the main raw material for copper smelting. In the field of gemology, it is rarely used alone, occasionally as a substitute for pyrite. In addition, it often participates in the composition of some colored stones, inkstones and jade. The high-efficiency spiral chalcopyrite washing machine is mainly used in the washing, grading, impurity removal, and the washing o
